Accessibility

PadTester aims at WCAG 2.2 AA for the pages around the tester: text contrast, keyboard access, and names on controls. The stick plots are graphics with numeric text beside them.

Using the site

  • Skip links jump to the tester, when the page has one, and to the article text.
  • Menus are native disclosure controls. They open from the keyboard.
  • The theme button exposes its state to assistive technology.
  • The language list includes upcoming languages as text, not as links to empty translations.

The tester

Button presses are announced when a control goes down, not on every frame. Drift verdicts are announced when a sample finishes. Live stick numbers are in the caption next to each plot so a screen reader user is not flooded with coordinates. Raw data is a disclosure section you can open and read.

Motion and color

The default theme is dark. The light theme uses the same layout. If you prefer reduced motion, the interface skips non-essential transitions. The stick dot still tracks the hardware, because that movement is the measurement.
