DualSense Edge Tester and Specs

The DualSense Edge is Sony’s pro PS5 pad: replaceable stick modules, back buttons, and trigger stops. Browsers often hide the back buttons. Check the raw list on the PS5 controller tester before you call a paddle dead.

Labels are locked to this page’s layout. Change “Button labels” if they do not match the pad in your hands.

Inputs stay in this browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Press any button on the controller. Browsers hide gamepads until you press a button on this tab.

This is how often the browser hands us a new sample. It is not the controller’s USB poll rate. How old the newest sample is when the page draws it. This is not display lag and not in-game lag.

Up on the plot is up on the stick. The numbers keep the browser’s sign: positive Y is usually down.

Vibration

Motion

Gyro, accelerometer, touch position, and battery are not part of the standard Gamepad reading. Chrome and Edge on desktop can request a DualSense or DualShock 4 over WebHID.

Works with

Same platforms as the DualSense: PS5, PC, Mac, and Android browsers, with the same iOS limits. Profiles stored on the pad can change what a game sees even when this page shows a raw stick.

Browser support for this controller

Treat it as a DualSense for rumble and triggers. After a module swap, run a 3-second drift sample and a circularity trace. Back buttons that never appear in raw data are a mapping limit, not automatically a hardware fault.

Known quirks

  • PID 0DF2 distinguishes it from a standard DualSense (0CE6).
  • Onboard profiles can add their own deadzone. Disable them while you measure the module.
  • Trigger stops shorten the physical travel. The analog value may reach 1 earlier. That is the stop, not a stuck trigger.

Drift, repair, and warranty notes

A rising radius on one side is a module replacement, which is the supported repair. Sample before and after on the stick drift test. The same 0.06 / 0.12 bands apply. Warranty terms are Sony’s current policy for your region.

Similar controllers

Same instrument, different hardware. Open a neighbor if you are comparing a replacement.

Frequently asked questions

Do Edge back buttons show up in the browser?

Sometimes, as extra indexes past the standard set. If the raw list never moves when you press them, the browser is not mapping those switches.

Is the Edge immune to stick drift?

No. The modules are replaceable, which makes the repair cheaper and faster. They can still wear.
