Privacy policy
Last updated November 2, 2026. GamepadTesters is a static website. The tester reads your controller in the page and does not send those readings to us.
What the tester processes
Button values, stick axes, vibration commands, and, if you allow it, the name of a HID device are handled in your browser to draw the tester. They are not posted to gamepadtesters.net. Closing the tab drops them. We do not build a profile of your hardware.
What is stored on your machine
One localStorage key, gamepadtesters-theme, stores whether you chose a light or dark theme. It is not a cookie, it is not sent with requests, and you can clear it in the browser’s site data settings. We do not set tracking cookies. This version does not load analytics or advertising.
Hosting logs
When the site is deployed, the host that serves the files may keep ordinary connection logs, such as IP address, user agent, and the URL requested, for security and operations. Those logs are the host’s. We do not add a second analytics collector on top.
Email you send us
If you email hello@gamepadtesters.net, we use the message to reply and to fix the thing you reported. Do not send passwords or government identity numbers. The contact form only opens your mail program.
Children
The tester is a general-audience utility. We do not ask for names, ages, or accounts, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. A future analytics or advertising tag would be described here before it is turned on, and the cookie policy would change in the same edit.
